The Master of the Order, Br. Bruno Cadore, OP, had a Canonical Visitation of the Province of St Joseph the Worker, Nigeria and Ghana. The Master made the visit, accompanied by two of his Socii (Assistants), Br. Vivian Boland, OP, the Socius for Fraternal Life and Formation and Br. Gerard Timoner, OP, the Socius for Asia Pacific. 

The Visitation began on December 10, 2018, in Ghana, where the Master visitated with the Dominican Brothers in Bremang, Suame-Kumasi and Ejisu-Besease. He also visited the Dominican Secondary School, Ofinso. 

The Master continued his visitation in Nigeria from December 12-19, 2018. In Nigeria, he visitated with the Dominican brothers in the Province. The Master and his Socii visited St Dominic Priory, Yaba, Lagos; the Formation House (St Thomas Aquinas Priory), Ibadan; St Paul Priory, Oyigbo, Rivers State and Our Lady Queen of Friars House, Abuja. The lay Dominicans were not left out as they met with the Master at the different houses visited by the him. 

The Master and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Archbishops of Ibadan and Lagos. They also paid a courtesy visit to the Dominican Sisters, Ibadan, Mafoluku and the Dominican Sisters, Gusau, who met with the Master at Abuja. 

The Master and his Socii were very much delighted to be in our Province, especially, Brs. Vivian Boland and Gerard Timoner, who were visiting Nigeria for the first time. It was a nice experience according to the duo. 

We are very grateful to God for the opportunity and grace of the visitation of the Master of the Order of Friars Preachers. May God continue to grant him good health and inspire him as he carries out his mandate of leading the Friars of the Order of Preachers.
